The sizes of the viols are not specified; the parts are written in soprano, alto, tenor and bass clef.
Also the 5th cantata of Membra Jesu, Sicut modo geniti infantes, calls in some separate parts for the viola da gamba, in others for the violone. In any way the part of this bass instrument has no soloistic role, but follows the basso continuo with few differences.
